We have successfully finished coding of the new user dashboard of BeeIMG and it will mark the end development of BeeIMG v1. We will be adding bug fixes to current system, but no new features will be added. The new dashboard has 3 new charts/panels with country, referrals and image view data. In the new chart image views, it is categorized by day, so you can view the day you had the most image views. Although you can't see the countries for individual images yet, the data collected in shown in a nice chart as top countries. Newest tweets from @uberfacts is shown in the today panel. The plan was to start coding v2 when Bootstrap 4 was available but, to get a head start and to use a new cool UI framework, the coding of v2 will be starting on this December. Hopefully Bootstrap 4 will be released in the next year and it will be merged to v2. More info on v2 will be posted as a separate blog post soon. Thanks for reading.

below is the post mortem report of the October 6 outage. Our server had an outage at 13:30 GMT due to a high trafficked image. ( http://beeimg.com/view/h8150456397/ ) according to the referral logs the image was linked to several "LiveJournal" blogs. The outage was recorded by pingdom at 13:31 GMT. ( http://stats.pingdom.com/pdc110r2vx7j/889337/2014/10 ) I was notified about this outage at 13:36 GMT via SMS (Email too) by Pingdom. Which then I quickly went online and started investigating this issue.( https://twitter.com/beeimg/status/519120005695537152 ) Normally whole server is monitored and if the Apache server is crashed, it automatically get restarted. during this outage the whole server got crashed making the monitoring mechanism useless. the server was returning pings, meaning the server was accessible, but was under high load. I gave the server a hard reboot at 13:50 GMT via DigitalOcean CP and the server was back online 13:52 GMT. The server was completely inaccessib...

In the past few days we have been a little silenced. but we are back and the login issue that made new logins to fail was occurred due to upgrading of the new profile page. It is fixed now. In the last days we created a new profile page and worked lots of days to take out the bugs. its totally mobile friendly and mobile tested. the new page is cached up to 10 mins. we decided to cache the data to reduce the database load and speed up the page. if a user requests, we can add a clear cache for the profile page owners. (if you want that feature, please use the contact page or comment below) currently we are working on translating BeeIMG to several languages. currently we are working to add Sinhala language. if you want to help to translate BeeIMG to your local language, contact us using the contact page. also we plan on making a monthly email notification system that sends the usage of the user for the past month. After a small break we are back with the twitter one click login system. Due to limitations in twitter oauth api we couldn't add register with twitter feature. but you can create an account with beeimg using another method and link the twitter account for one click login. This marks the last part of our oauth login systems. To maintain simplicity we won't be adding more services for our oauth system for a while. We redesigned the password reset pages a while back. we tried to make the process simpler which we successfully archived. we plans to redesign the login page and register page similarly. There are plans for hosting BeeIMG in Singapore (2 servers | Amsterdam & Singapore) and provide faster image views to users.
